Lake Como

Alessia
and Giorgio

The story

Alessia contacted me after seeing a wedding I had organised some time before. Something in that project had struck her, and she wanted to understand whether it was possible to build a wedding with the same elegance, but with a personality entirely their own.

From our first conversations the wish was clear: to create a refined, timeless wedding, able to keep its beauty intact in the years to come. They had not yet defined how to translate the idea into a concrete project but, looking at the first images they showed me, the direction immediately appeared clear.

Alessia and Giorgio

Alessia and Giorgio are two people with whom it is natural to be in tune. Sunny, kind and always smiling, they made every phase of the planning pleasant and spontaneous.

Working with them was a continuous exchange of ideas, always accompanied by mutual trust and by the desire to build something that would truly represent them.

The challenge

The real challenge was not to create an elegant wedding. Elegance, on its own, risks becoming a generic concept.

My goal was to find a distinctive element that would make the project immediately recognisable, keeping that delicate balance between the classical and the contemporary. We wanted to build a timeless wedding, with a guiding thread able to run through every detail.

It was in that moment that lace stopped being merely a detail of the dress and became the language of the whole wedding.

The key to the project

The inspiration came from Alessia's dress: a wonderful gown made entirely of lace, by the Italian designer Andrea Sedici. It was in that moment that lace stopped being merely a detail of the dress and became the language of the whole wedding.

From then on, every element of the project began to converse with that delicate weave. The invitations, the menus, the tableau de mariage, the place cards and many other details were finished by hand with lace inserts, turning a sartorial element into the wedding's true signature. The palette told the same story of contemporary elegance, with sage green accompanying every setting down to the most unexpected details, such as the parasols at the reception.

The wedding day

The wedding day was exactly as we had imagined it: elegant, relaxed and full of energy. I will remember the lightness with which the lace seemed to come alive in the tableau de mariage, the band playing great classics from the small balcony, and the atmosphere among the guests, made of sincere smiles and shared moments.

Among the images I carry in my heart there is also Alessia's change of dress, followed by a spontaneous shoot on the stairs while she and Giorgio ate a hamburger together. A simple, funny, authentic moment that told perfectly how they lived that day.

A weekend to remember

In truth this is only part of their story: the wedding was the heart of an entire wedding weekend on Lake Como. The welcome dinner embraced the guests, creating an intimate, relaxed atmosphere from the start, while the following day the pool party at the Lido di Cernobbio changed the rhythm completely.

An explosion of colour, music, gadgets and smiles turned the last day into a true party among friends, the perfect way to say goodbye after a weekend spent together. It was the ideal ending for a project built with care in every detail.

Elegant without being rigid, refined without excess, polished yet deeply authentic.

What remains

Of Alessia and Giorgio I will remember above all their ability to live every moment with enthusiasm, never losing their smile, and the trust with which they let themselves be guided along the whole journey.

Their wedding told perfectly who they were: elegant without being rigid, refined without excess, polished yet deeply authentic. And that is the most beautiful memory I take home.
